The Double-Trunk Tree Style typically features two trees: one larger, taller, and older, paired with another smaller, shorter, and younger. This style can be categorized into two types: 1. Elder-Child Twin-Trunk Tree, also known as the Grandparent-Grandchild Tree. 2. Couple Twin-Trunk Tree, also known as the Husband-and-Wife Tree.
During the creative process, attention must be given to the mutual interaction between the treetops of the two trees, ensuring their branches harmoniously respond to one another, thus conveying a sense of emotional connection. This approach imbues the work with charm. The overall composition should evoke a touching scene, such as one depicting the care and support between generations or the warmth and reliance of a deeply affectionate couple. This creates a lasting impression on viewers, leaving them with a sense of inseparable bonds and mutual dependence.


 
雙杆樹的造型通常以一大一細、一高一矮、一老一少的形式呈現，其具體造型可分為兩種：1. 老少式雙杆樹，又稱公孫樹。  2. 情侶式雙杆樹，又稱夫妻樹。
在創作時，需注意兩棵樹之間的頂部枝梢互相呼應，展現彼此間的情感，方能賦予作品韻味。整體畫面需營造出如同扶老攜幼的感人場景，或一對情深意切的情侶溫馨互依的氛圍，給觀賞者留下難解難分、相依為命的感受。
